Alisa Yenokyan Convicted of Selling Fake Disneyland Tickets Again
A 22-year-old Hollywood woman convicted earlier this month of selling bogus Disneyland tickets was arrested again this weekend after she allegedly punched a loss prevention worker who caught her stealing beauty cream from the Sephora at the Americana at Brand.
The lost prevention worker was watching security cameras about 5:25 p.m. Sunday when she spotted Alisa Yenokyan allegedly put five beauty cream products inside her purse, according to Glendale police.
Yenokyan exited the store, but was quickly confronted by the worker, who requested the merchandise be returned, police said.
The pair struggled over the purse, at which point Yenokyan allegedly punched the worker twice in the face.
She was arrested on suspicion of robbery a short time later, reportedly telling police that the worker had scratched her, so she fought back.
Yenokyan also reportedly told police that if she had been asked for the products in a “nice way,” she would have returned them.
Yenokyan was later released Monday on $20,000 bail and is expected to appear July 2 in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The latest incident came even as she was awaiting sentencing for selling bogus $50 Disneyland e-tickets to at least a half dozen families through Craigslist.
Yenokyan had allegedly had been selling the altered passes to families — many of whom didn’t discover the fakery until being turned away at the park’s gates — for several years.
Yenokyan was convicted May 7 of seven felony counts of forgery and one felony count of grand theft for the scheme.
She is scheduled to be sentenced June 21.
