New Variety Owner Sentenced to Probation Over Nantucket Incident
The CEO of Penske Media Corp., which owns several websites, was arrested with his brother in August for allegedly breaking into the Nantucket Yacht Club and urinating on a woman’s boots.
Jay Penske, the car-racing heir and new Variety owner, and his brother Mark were sentenced to pre-trial probation Monday.
Jay Penske is CEO of PMC Media, which earlier this month purchased the entertainment trade newspaper Variety with financial backing from Daniel Loeb's Third Point hedge fund. PMC also owns several blogs, including TVLine.com, Deadline.com and HollywoodLife.com. The brothers are the sons of Roger Penske, the billionaire racing mogul and NASCAR owner.
