The protest began at Frank Ogawa Plaza at 10 p.m. and was reportedly organized by Occupy Oakland over Twitter. Growing Crowds over 100 at the intersections of 14th and Broadway in Oakland heading toward Harrison.

Shortly before midnight, the march headed to the Alameda County Superior Courthouse near Lake Merritt, and along the way protesters flipped over a dumpster, smashed more windows and stopped to burn flags in front of a McDonald’s.

Calls went out for Police volunteers and overtime for officers to work with the escalating violence.  Vandalized a Police with writing on the car.

Smashed windows downtown Oakland as protestors march, angry about Trayvon Martin verdict.

Vandals had smashed windows at the Dogwood Restaurant at the corner of Telegraph & 17th St. in Oakland. As well as overturn dumpsters.

Meanwhile Beyonce holds a moment of silence for Trayvon Martin after verdict during her concert in Nashville, Tenn. Many others held peaceful protests.
