New York to L.A. in 45 Minutes - N.Y to China in 2 Hours

Newsflash from your Hollywood Attorney:

Can you imagine traveling from Los Angeles to New York City at 4,000 miles per hour? I will admit, I have a hard time grasping this speed. At this speed it would take less than an hour.

Here’s another thing to imagine… what if it cost you only about $100? All of these things could become a reality if the Tesla CEO Elon Musk and a Colorado company have their way.

The hyperloop system would basically be an elevated tube that would send groups of six into a tube using a magnetic levitation system. If you feel like you’ve heard something like this before, you may be somewhat familiar with some high speed train systems that are basically the same thing. What makes this way different is the fact that passengers or cargo would travel aboard an enclosed tube (please be windows!) that would provide a system with pretty much zero friction.

The capsule would be constructed to withstand “outer space” conditions, which would be important as the tube it’d be traveling in would have all the air sucked out of it.  To get in and out of this system, airlocks would be utilized. As I mentioned before, the system would be elevated.

According to the video released by ET3 (Longmount, Colorado based company behind this), this system would be 1/10th of the cost of a high speed railway and 1/4 the cost of a freeway.
