Don't Mess with Texas Motherly Rage! Carjacker Gets Run Over!

A knife-wielding thief was run over by a minivan after he allegedly picked the wrong Texas mother to mess with.  She told him, "You messed with the wrong witch"

Dorothy Baker was driving her sons, 2 and 5, home from the CVS drug store in Baytown, Texas on Friday. But she didn't get far -- a suspected carjacker popped up from his hiding place behind the third row of seats in her minivan.

Police say that Ismael Martinez, 54, hid inside the car when he found it unlocked in the CVS parking lot. Once the car was on the road, Martinez demanded money.

“So I asked him how much he needed and he said $200,” Baker told WFAA. “And I told him I didn’t have that kind of cash, I had about $20 in my account, and he said I better figure out a way to get it, or my kids were going to get hurt.”

At first, Baker told Martinez that she would do exactly as he said, but that's hardly how the confrontation played out.

"I took my fist and I hit him in the face, and I told him to get out of my car," Baker said, according to ABC. She then grabbed the knife from Martinez.



According to KTRK:

              "I thought, 'If you swerve and hit the pole, he's not wearing a seatbelt, he'll go through the windshield or at least hit his head, and you can stop him. You can do something to make sure that he doesn't hurt your kids,'" Dorothy Baker-Flugence said. "That's all I was thinking of really, was just to get him away from my kids."

She crashed the vehicle, and Martinez jumped out of the car to escape. But he could not outrun Baker's motherly rage.
