Dad & Grandma passed out, their on Heroin - Boy calls 911
A 10-year-old child made a 911 call to report that his father had passed out in the bathroom.
A moment later, he called to say that his grandmother was also unresponsive in the bathroom, according to New Brighton, Pa. Area police.
Mother and son, both using heroin, were revived by emergency medical personnel and then charged with endangering the welfare of a child, police reported.
Chad Steven Kiser, 34, and Ginger Fay Foust, 52, both of 1610 Fourth Ave., Apartment 2-F, also were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after the incident at 7:39 p.m. Friday in their home, police said.
Police said there was no food in the apartment, but they found a pipe, scale, mirror and silver tube used for inhaling controlled substances.
When police arrived, Kiser was unresponsive and Foust was awake “but could not stand, walk or talk,” according to police.
The boy told police that after his father passed out, his grandmother went into the bathroom to help him. She then passed out.
Beaver County Child and Youth Services was called to take care of the child, according to the report.
