Man stabbed while at red light in Santa Ana
Police Cmdr. Chris Revere said officers were called to the emergency room at UC Irvine Medical Center around 10:40 p.m. They found the stabbing victim there for treatment, but he was uncooperative, Revere said.
He told them he had been in a car with another man near the 600 block of North Flower Street. They were stopped at a red light around 10 p.m., when two men in another car pulled up behind them. The men got out and began yelling at the two before breaking in the windows and assaulting them. The attackers then fled, Revere said the victim told police.
Afterward, the man noticed he had been stabbed once in the stomach, and his companion dropped him off at a hospital. His injuries did not appear to be serious, Revere said.
